About
the Artist...
Kim Hogan
has lived in Capitola
for three years. She is
the mother of two grown
children, Amanda and Hunter
and the loving partner
to Michael Termini, a
long-time friend to Capitola.
It was
a rough patch in life
that led Kim to take a
painting class. There
was no knowledge of any
talent at the time. It
was just a diversion to
add something into her
life. Beginning in watercolor
the first painting was
surprisingly good. The
second that followed was
better. A little over
two years later Kim has
accumulated a small collection
in both watercolor and
oil that includes portraits,
flowers, beach scenes,
etc.
“Painting
has truly changed my life.
So often I stand back
and look at a piece I’ve
just finished and burst
into tears at the realization
that it came out of me.
This journey, which almost
never happened because
I didn’t have the
money at the time to afford
the paint, has been an
amazing adventure.”
